BRAUN SHAVER/STYLER/TRIMR D.VOLT WASHABLE CRD/CRDLSS

Review for BRAUN SHAVER/STYLER/TRIMR D.VOLT WASHABLE CRD/CRDLSS Unless you're just trimming your goatee, forget this shaver.

Take a closer look at the posts here - from those who really SHAVE with their razors.

My previous Braun shavers were all pretty good. When the foil hit the face - you could tell hair was really being cut. Not so the Cruzer 3.

This razor has such tiny holes in the foil - all arranged in a spoke-wheel pattern that prevents hair from being properly channeled into the blades.

I first thought the foil head wasn't seated properly. It was - to my disappointment. I finally tried to shave with water - with only minor improvement. Finally after shaving for 3 times longer than I should have to (not the reason for buying an electric shaver!) I finally got a smooth enough shave.

Don't get me wrong, no electric razor shaves like a blade - but come on.

I tried to email my complaints to Braun on their website - but they don't provide an easy way to do this. Their website is slick with cool videos and obtuse browser options providing little feedback to "Star Base Command".

So here I am on Amazon.com. These folks do a wonderful service by allowing real-world customers to speak about our actual frustrations.

Braun has caught "big company" disease - where common sense takes a back seat to flashy design and wishful thinking. I hope they read this post - since they're going the wrong way in a hurry.

Braun seems to be resting on its name, fancy new designs (it looks like a phaser set on "stun") and consumer ignorance. They seem captive to their own engineers who get carried away with their own design philosophy - even when it doesn't work.

Braun needs to tell its engineers to take these products home for a few weeks before committing to a particular design. They would have spotted this turkey in a minute.

This problem (which spans ALL their shavers using this flawed foil pattern) can be EASILY FIXED by offering us a REDESIGNED REPLACEMENT foil head WITHOUT MAKING US BUY A WHOLE NEW RAZOR.

Which brings me to my second gripe - Braun is FAMOUS for changing its razor designs too frequently - so you never know what you're getting into when you trade up.

Braun's vaunted foil-design this time around fails in spades - and my beard just isn't that rough. And that's a shame.
